Glad to see your country is back on track. I have a good friend in Thessaloniki and I was always really impressed by the Greek people. Warm, friendly and generally well educated and curious.
Really cool to see Greeks do well. I lived in Melbourne for a while and meet a lot of Greeks there. Nice hard working people.
BTW out of curiosity how is Greek's renewable transition coming along? Neighbouring Turkey has 50+% renewable generation. Do you expect Greece to be a energy exporter to the over-regulated Germans? I know Spain is probably planning something like that.
The world needs renewables. But as renewables attract more money they also attract corruption. Sort of like tourism. It will be important that Greece doesn’t neglect environmental safeguards and or doesn’t install renewables in inappropriate places (wind turbines where a site really doesn’t meet minimum wind requirements, for example) just so a contract can be fulfilled or so that some politician or corporation can point to a “success.” The ideal renewable is, of course, rooftop solar with storage. That represents true energy independence, making it easier for people to be free of the whims of governments and corporations.
I agree on the second part. I keep telling my libertarians friends that we should strategically vote for some green energy subsidies to wipe out the big government electricity racket in the long run.
Share of renewables in Greece has been increasing steadily as of late. I think Greece could be very well positioned, if it broke down the existing energy cartels in the country and also invested more in energy storage solutions.
There are probably many small C&I solar and energy services Greek entrepreneurs who would be interested. But there're all booked until the the end of the decade.

Thank you for the kind words about us Greeks. We have a good bunch of negatives as well, but the warmth and friendliness are very real. :)
